Six Weeks Plus; Grandmas visit; First Smile

Somehow it's been a week since our last post - little Iris has been keeping us busy! Lots of new photos to share below. The big news is that Iris smiled for the first time yesterday! It was very exciting for her parents (and much anticipated). It was great to hang out with her this morning as she looked around and produced a few more smiles.

Grandma Kathryn and Grandma Judith came to visit this weekend and we had a lot of fun with them. They looked after Iris while Gwyneth and Matt put together a dresser drawers from Ikea - always an adventure! This was part of our attempt to bring more order to the baby room/office/guest bedroom.

Iris in her new bath-tub. The first phase of the bath went much better (as seen by Iris not crying in the picture); however, phase two (hair-washing and drying off) went just as badly as ever. Oh, well.

Sixth Week Photos

Here are some photos from the last week. Aunt Alison came to visit, we celebrated Iris's one month birthday (see post below), and we took Iris out in the stroller for the first time.

Iris's One Month Birthday Party

Although slightly belated, we celebrated Iris's one-month birthday when Aunt Alison came to visit. Alison made her a lovely cake!

Fourth Week of Iris

Iris is growing - we don't know by how much, as she hasn't been weighed since last week, but she's definately got bigger cheeks these days! Some photos from the last few days below. She continues to keep us up at night, but we seem to have adjusted to it somewhat. We've started going out for short walks in the Baby Bjorn, weather permitting.
