So far, October has been a fun month. Some rainy weather has been replaced by sunny days and beautiful foliage.
We've recently seen Iris start some pretend play, which is a new development. She 'feeds' her Hunny Bunny, 'applies' Mama's lotion to herself, and to Hunny Bunny and Snow-Glow of course (her most favorite loveys).
A recent note from her day-care journal: "Iris is our biggest fan of the babies. She always has a huge smile on her face and talks to them patting their backs, rubbing their heads. She brings them toys and sounds her alarm if they cry! She brings the baby dolls beside them and feeds the dolls, covers them with blankets and pats them. She is a born nurturer."
Newest word is 'help.' A useful concept when it replaces grunting and whining.
Although we are still sans camera, a few photos from the camera are
here (highlights include Iris romping in a leaf pile and checking out the Indian corn at the farmer's market.)
