Meanwhile, we have been thrown back into a sad post-vacation world. Matt and Gwyneth are back to work. Iris is back at day-care, although she's switched to the morning slot. We're counting on her staying awake all morning at daycare and then napping when she gets home around 1:30. More soon.

Trip to Lighthouse Point

So, I'm a little back-logged with photos and news. I'll start with a pre-vacation post about our visit to Lighthouse Point a few weeks ago. It was a beautiful day and we decided to go the beach. There is a water park for kids at Lighthouse Point, in addition to the Sound. We anticipated Iris would like the waterpark more than the ocean. We were wrong. She showed almost no interest in the water park, instead surprising us by walking straight into the ocean. She played with her bucket for quite a while and happily sat in the shallow water as the waves hit her over and over again. A fun time was had by all. Some photos and videos here:

August Happenings

Hi all -

I've been a bit delinquent in updating the blog lately.

A few weeks ago we had an epic gathering of Gwyneth's Mom's family (The Dentons) in Newport. There are many photos. Here's the link to ours: click here. It was a really great time catching up with the family, many of whom live on the west coast. Official family photos were taken, and I will see if I can get some of them up soon. Last week, we spent the week in Wellfleet on the Cape with the Eckelmen-Brouhards. It was a lovely week. Photos not yet up on flickr, but here are a few unedited highlights:
