Hazel is two weeks old!

Hard to believe, but little Hazel is already two weeks old. She weighed in at 8 pounds, 5.2 ounces today (almost 7 ounces above her birth weight) and one inch taller. Go Hazel! She eats like a fiend. Which is good, but leaves her Mama with little time to anything but feed her! She's still figuring out the difference between night and day, which means not a lot of sleep is going around, but seems to be getting the hang of it . . .

Meanwhile, Iris is an absolutely adoring big sister, constantly asking to "see my baby" or "hold my baby." She's definitely acting out a bit, but then again, she's a two-year-old. She certainly tries our patience on most days . . . it's amazing how well she can push our buttons. A good thing she's so cute and charming most of the time. Iris is super chatty these days, with her vocabulary and ability to construct sentences (and questions!) growing daily. She has now hit the "why" phase, and asks this question constantly. Another favorite is "what happened?" We're slower at posting and pictures lately, for obvious reasons, but have gotten some good ones from Hazel's first week up on flickr here.

Singing

Hopefully, this is the last blog post before our family expands! The baby is due on Friday and we're hoping she comes soon! In the mean time, I have finally managed to get Iris to sing for the camera, after many failed attempts. In addition to new photos up on flickr, there are some videos as well!

Here, Iris explains what's on the Mother's Day card that she and Matt made for me (Iris directed, Matt executed):
