Funny business

Iris is a total goofball... and she knows it. Witness her mugging for the camera:



The thing is, she IS hilarious - she cracks us up constantly. The other day we were doing high-fives at the breakfast table, and she decided to give her toast a high-five....which was covered with jam at the time. She just looked around confused while we laughed it up.

We are also getting a taste of what she'll be like as a teenager. As we were coming home from daycare the other day, Iris said, very clearly, "Mama, I wanna party." Good luck, Gwyneth!

All is well in the Jeckelman household and we are waiting with great anticipation for this new little one to arrive! Well, Iris is excited - Mom and Dad are both somewhat terrified but eager, too. The baby is very active and kicking Gwyneth constantly, especially whenever she is trying to fall asleep. Iris was born about two weeks early, and we are going to hit that point tomorrow, so, cross your fingers for us!

In order to help us prepare, the Joneses visited recently and helped us care for Iris and finish some house projects. They especially enjoyed going to the park - here are Iris and D-Dad (Bill) playing with Mr Turtle:
