February

New photos are up on flickr. January photos here and February photos here.

Been pretty busy, so slow on the uploading . . .

We're settling into life here. Thankfully, it's been an extremely mild winter, so we haven't had to contend with piles of snow and ice. A little too mild, really. We've used the snow shovel all of once.

What's new with Hazel? She just had her nine month check-up. She's tapering off in growth: now only 90% percentile for height and weight. She just discovered the consonant "d" and now everything is "dai dai dai." She is so so close to crawling. She gets really frustrated she can't do it. It's sad. Personally, I'm in no hurry for her to start, as we haven't put the baby gates up yet. She's consolidating from three naps to two, which is actually great, as her afternoon nap often coincides with Iris's, giving me precious time when they're both sleeping. Which brings us to:

What's new with Iris? Well, she sometimes naps. The days when she doesn't are hard. For everyone. She is definitely going through a challenging phase. She's an angel at daycare, but often extremely contrary at home (this is an understatement). Perhaps a delayed reaction to the move and having to share Mommy with baby Hazel all the time? In any event, we're doing our best to stay busy in the afternoons, going to music class, various museums, the zoo, etc. It was even warm enough to go to the playground a few times - looking forward to more of that!

We're looking forward to a spring break vacation in Puerto Rico in mid-May (with JJ and D-Dad!). Can't wait!

Just another day . . .

A common occurrence these days
