Iris Turns Five Months; Meeting Cousin Petra; Yummy Toes and More!

Iris turned five months on Tuesday. There have been lots of exciting developments in the last few weeks, but Gwyneth and Matt have barely had time to post to the blog (what with two jobs, a dissertation, and trying to buy a house!).

The biggest news, though, is the birth of Iris's first first cousin - Petra a week ago! We went up to see Alison and Matt in Cambridge and to meet Petra last weekend. Some photos below:

Gwyneth and Petra. Even though Iris was this small five months ago, it seems like forever and we had already forgotten just how tiny newborns are!

In other news, Iris now spends a great deal of time playing with her feet:

So close! She actually does get her toes in her mouth sometimes.

Also, friends Jacy, Victoria and Milo came to visit. Yay!

Gwyneth and Iris went to many yardsales over the last two weekends. Many good finds. A particular favorite is Iris's new dress ($1):

And, finally, the new summer baby style, Moby "Wrap":
This distinctive garb was the result of a diaper explosion while out and about. For unknown reasons, the spare outfit was not in the diaper bag, so Daddy improvised with the Moby . . . we're pretty sure it'll catch on soon.
