Some more photos of Iris and friends. While Grandpa Eckelman was visiting, Iris got to hang out with Aunt Laura too. Iris is getting really close to sitting up on her own. She can do it for very brief periods, supported by her arms, but quickly topples to the side. She also flips herself over on rare occasion.

This is one the baby-sitter took. Conked out with a head-band. Her hair is getting so long, we actually put the head-band on sometimes to keep it out of her eyes. It's very 80's.

Eckelmen.

This is the scene I saw from the kitchen the other morning. Iris had been innocently playing in her play-pen; but when I looked up I found she'd used the chimes for leverage and flipped herself onto her belly and right onto the floor. Danger ahead . . .

lots of cute photos! But why don't you just cut her hair if it is too long?

I agree with Alison, the photos are lovely!

Please do not cut her hair! It took us almost two years to get rid of the dreaded bangs: then Sophie got hold of a pair of scissors and decided that they were once again en vogue:( Be strong and soon her hair will swoop nicely behind her ears.

We're not going to cut her hair. It just doesn't seem right . . . it takes so much time to for her to grow it!
