Video and First Birthday Party

While all the extended Eckelman-Brouhard-Jensen clan were in town last weekend to see one of Aunt Laura's plays, we had a belated birthday celebration for Iris. The fruit tarte was a huge success. Before we could sing happy birthday and blow out the candle, Iris had grabbed and stuffed a half a strawberry in her mouth (hence, in most of the picture she looks like a chipmunk).

In other news, Iris has had her first ear infection. Man, these are no fun at all. Ranks in unpleasantness up there with getting her top teeth in. Of course, it is the result of a nasty cold, which Iris passed along to Gwyneth, so the whole household has been coughing and sneezing. Luckily, Matt seems to have a sturdier immune system!

All things told, though, life is good. I'm posting some photos and videos of our life, that I hope will amuse you . . .
