Thanksgiving and More

Lots of new photos up on Flickr here and here, including Thanksgiving at Grandma Kathryn's. We've had lots of nice visits from family lately. The Joneses (JJ and D-Dad) came by for two brief visits, and the Eckelman-Brouhards were here as well (in town to see the play Aunt Laura did the lighting for at the Yale Rep!).

For more fun photos and a video, see Iris's friend Isaiah's blog here.

Iris is really changing fast these days. Her level of comprehension has sky-rocketed and she's gaining words daily. She knows all the colors well, lots of animals (including some unusual ones that she especially likes: peacock and armadillo), all the associated animal sounds, lots of body parts, plus some actually useful stuff like: empty, plate, bowl, fork, spoon, hot, warm, wet, rain, light, dark, naked (another favorite, both the word and the state!), tight, etc. She really likes our Christmas Tree ("mi mee" in her words).

She still hates to get dressed, or put her coat and hat on . . . fun times . . .
