Fancy Clothes; Fancy Bed

After returning from vacation, Iris has moved into a big-girl bed. Exciting development! So far, it's gone quite well. Don't want to jinx it, but, for the most part, she hasn't gotten up in the middle of the night. We got her the bed sooner than planned as Hazel is about to outgrow the bassinet (that Iris slept in comfortably until she was 5 months old), so we need the crib sooner than anticipated! The photo of Hazel below says it all . . .

In other news, we went to friends' wedding last weekend, where Iris was a flower-girl. She did very well! We managed to get some nice photos of the four of us (extremely hard to do!) - see below.

Iris has mastered the concept of 'maybe.' If the answer to a given question is no or probably not, she'll generally counter with 'maybe.' See the video below. Another example of a typical exchange:
Gwyneth: we're going on a bus to the airport
Iris: a purple one?
Gwyneth: probably not
Iris: maybe!


Lastly, a funny Iris quote from yesterday: Gwyneth: Iris, why is your nose running? Iris: It's raining in my nose.
